I like to listen to music, hang out with my boyfriend Josh, and draw. I've never been really into school, but thats only because I cannot stand being told what to do. It makes me mad, because I'm a big girl, and I can do things myself thats all.
As far as Amy Chua's opinion goes, I don't agree with her at all. I believe that children should be able to choose where they want to go in life. Kids shouldnt be told what instrument to play, what grades to make, and what friends to have. I think the whole point of having a childhood is to learn what decisions to make. Thats how I did it and I'm pretty smart when it comes to my knowledge and common sense. If you raise a child to be exactly the way you invision the "perfect child" being, that kid will never ever have any individuality. So in a lot of ways Amy Chua is robbing her kids of a normal childhood. When I was in regular school, the kids that were raised similar to Amy's liking were socially awkward, and the other students never ever let those kids live it down. She is ruining her kids futures. Because what is better in the end? money and smarts, or happiness and love?
